Developed with the assistance of top exotics veterinarians and nutritionists, Oxbow Critical Care is recovery nutrition for herbivores with poor nutritional status resulting from illness or surgery. The high-fiber, Timothy hay-based powder is mixed with warm water and syringe- or spoon-fed to rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and other small herbivores that are not eating on their own. The apple and banana flavor encourages acceptance during assist feeding.

How to Feed
How to Feed
Shake well before using. Mix 1 part Critical Care with 2 parts warm water to the desired consistency. For herbivorous mammals, mix 3 Tbsp per kg of body weight daily (1 Tbsp is approximately 9 grams). Divide the daily amount into 4 to 6 feedings unless otherwise specified by your veterinarian. Prepare fresh at each feeding and discard any unused prepared mixture after 24 hours. Provide fresh, clean water at all times.
